‘Pride & Joy’ 2024 Closing Reception | 6–9PM | FREE
Art Gallery • Ice Cream • Collage Crafting Stations
Mix, mingle, and marvel to celebrate the final week of our two-month Pride & Joy art installation! Farewells can be bitter, but we’re keeping it sweet on July 26th with this closing reception. Enjoy ice cream, self-led collage crafting, and take a final lap around the Christel DeHaan ArtSpace before we gear up for our next exhibition.
Pride & Joy is the Athenaeum Foundation’s annual community art show celebrating Pride and the diversity of Indy’s LGBTQ+ creative community. This juried art show remains on display through June and July, because Pride doesn’t only last for one month of the year. We opened the show in June on First Friday, so we’re closing things up with Farewell Friday, in a cozy and sweet event we’re calling: STILL HERE, STILL QUEER.
All ages are welcome to join us to take a last look at the installed works, and to create some collage art of your very own. Crafting supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own paper scraps or an old magazine to get your creativity flowing!
Complimentary ice cream novelties will be provided, and our cashless cash bar will have drinks and light snacks available for purchase. Tickets are FREE, but please reserve ahead of time so we know how many people to expect.
