First Friday • Art Saves Lives 2026

About the Show:
Art Saves Lives is a community art show exploring themes of mental health, suicide prevention & survivorship, and the journeys we take towards hope.
This exhibition, now in its third year, is hosted in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Indiana Chapter and the Athenaeum Foundation. Works accepted for this juried show will be displayed through the month of August in the Athenaeum’s Christel DeHaan ArtSpace. The ArtSpace is free and open to the public 7 days a week (excluding holidays.)
Visit the ArtSpace:
Join us Friday, August 7th, 6–8 PM, to explore the show and meet the artists for a First Friday reception. This event is FREE for all ages to attend, no ticket required. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and a cashless cash bar.
If you can’t join us for First Friday, you can enjoy the show by visiting during the operating hours of Coat Check Coffee. The ArtSpace is located on the 2nd floor of the Athenaeum, accessible via stairs or elevator.
