Festival 451indy is excited to present the Annual Ray Bradbury Memorial Writer’s Lecture, featuring an engaging conversation with New York Times bestselling author Daniel Kraus.

This year’s event will feature an in-depth discussion with Daniel Kraus, moderated by the insightful Coye Lloyd. Kraus, known for his collaborations with Guillermo del Toro on The Shape of Water and Trollhunters, as well as his highly anticipated new book Pay The Piper, will delve into his writing process, the influence of Ray Bradbury, and the themes of monsters that permeate his work.

What to Expect:

  • A dynamic and interactive discussion with Daniel Kraus, exploring the craft of storytelling and the legacy of Ray Bradbury.
  • Insights into Kraus’s latest book, Pay The Piper, co-authored with the legendary George A. Romero.
  • A chance to purchase Kraus’s books on-site, with Indy Reads as the official bookseller.
  • An opportunity to have your book signed by Daniel Kraus after the discussion.

DANIEL KRAUS is a New York Times bestseller. With Guillermo del Toro, he wrote The Shape of Water (based on the same idea Kraus and del Toro created for the Oscar-winning film) and Trollhunters (adapted into the Emmy-winning Netflix series). Kraus followed his science thriller Wrath, co-authored with Shäron Moalem, with the widely acclaimed USA Today bestseller Whalefall. His novel The Death and Life of Zebulon Finch was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s Top Ten Books of the Year. He lives in Illinois.

This event promises to be a thought-provoking and engaging evening, perfect for literature enthusiasts and fans of Kraus’s work.
